One factor that plays a part in Manchester's homeless crisis is the lack of affordable housing in the city. There is not enough focus on new family homes and too much reliance on city centre apartments within the city.
Its this which inspired me to photograph the abundance of luxury housing and juxtapose it against council houses and the sheltered accommodation for the homeless within the city.
The tower block is Woodward Court, a council run sheltered accommodation for the homeless. This is where Clive the homeless artist i met got housed after being evicted form the Corner House building on oxford road.
